Dentist capturing photos with intraoral camera

Intraoral Cameras

Being able to see what the dentist sees is usually something most patients would appreciate. This possibility is now a reality thanks to the use of intraoral cameras. These camera-tipped, handheld devices take images of your teeth and project them onto a computer screen that is viewable by you and our dental team. This makes it easy for us to explain and show problem areas as well as discuss the importance of treatment. Dentist capturing photos with intraoral camera

All-Digital X-Rays

In the last several decades, dental technology has advanced dramatically, but in many cases, these innovations have not directly affected patients. Digital X-rays are a notable exception. Not only are these X-rays faster and produce instant images, but they also improve patient comfort.

The images of digital X-rays offer a greater resolution than that of traditional X-rays and hence have a better image quality. Besides this, the greatest benefit of digital X-rays is that they offer up to a 90% reduction in radiation exposure for the patient, team member, and doctor.

3D Cone Beam Imaging

Dental implant placement is just one type of treatment that is better executed when dentists use a 3D Cone Beam Imaging system. It can also be used for the detection of tumors, cysts, infections, and cancer of the head and neck. It is also used in the evaluation of the airway to diagnose sleep apnea and evaluation of the root placement in relation to the nerve when removing wisdom teeth.

This unique piece of equipment rotates 360 degrees around your head to capture hundreds of images. It sends the photos to a monitor that produces a three-dimensional model of your oral and facial structures, including the bone, teeth, nerves, tissues, and other important components. Using these images, our team can better navigate and prepare your treatment plan for a more seamless and successful procedure.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

Our Gemini diode laser is a state-of-the-art solution that makes removing soft oral tissue easier than ever before. Produced by Ultradent, it gently cauterizes the treatment area when performing periodontal therapies, deep cleanings, gum recontouring, crown lengthening, cold sore removal, or frenectomies. With this unique device, you can expect faster healing and reduced recovery times, which makes for a more enjoyable experience.
